Our insights
Synthetic Biology refers to the design and fabrication of biological components and systems that do not exist in the natural world; and the re-design and fabrication of existing biological systems for useful purposes. We aim to design and fabricate artificial biological parts, devices and circuits to control biological pattern formation, attack cancer cells, and prevent infectious diseases. In summary, synthetic biology offers transformative potential in healthcare, particulary in pattern formation and vaccine design, providing innovative solutions to combat cancer and infectious diseases efficiently.
Other major research interests include the study of the mechanism of intracellular transportation and its role in development, cellular functions, and diseases. Intracellular transportation is crucial for cell development, enabling the movement of molecules and organelles within cells. Some key aspects include mechanism of transport, vesicular transport, intracellular compartments, cell signaling, cellular organization, and developmental processes. Efficient transport mechanisms ensure that cells can grow, differentiate, and function appropriately within their environment.
